I know it seems young for an elf to be wed,
But I’ve grown so much in two hundred years.
I met my true love by the fountainhead,
He whispered sweet words in my pointed ears,
I could not believe all the things that he said:
“I want you my love, for a thousand years”.
Well my immortal heart did flip flops you see,
So taken back that the Prince wanted me.
He said: “Live with me in the castle so grand”
“I’ll make you my Queen and give you a crown”.
“Together we two shall rule all the land”.
“I’ll take you away from this Elvin town”.
Well I knew I’d be happy so I took his hand,
I thought of myself in a wedding gown.
It’s a young elf’s dream to become a bride,
I was the happiest elf in the countryside.
That’s how it started, this magical dream,
Our wedding took place in the afternoon.
With pomp and circumstance in the extreme,
He then carried me off on our honeymoon.
A magical ship took us both downstream,
We came to drift in the forest lagoon.
That’s how it began, this magical life
The day I said; “Yes, I will be your wife”.
