Killer Harlequin

Your words delude your adoring fans
You make me appear the fool
But one day they’ll see your deception
You and your misrule

You act like you don’t see me
Pretending I’m not there
Hoping you’ll forget my face
That I’ll drown in my own despair

I want you to look into my eyes
To see what lies within
My world is not ruled by sorrow
But the hate that writhes under my skin

I’ll make you pay for all your lies
The suffering you put me through
The pain that you had meant for me
Now I will send it all back to you

Someday you will forget my face
After you’ve met with your demise
But once I’ve crucified all that you have
You will always remember my eyes

    What I appreciate about this piece is that you've used the title of the image too - I like entrants who think outside the box so well done on that.

    I think you did a brill job overall. Vivid imagery, smooth rhyme; it's an easy, readable piece.
