   How we have betrayed

 

How we have decieved you

 

     So beautiful, your lands once were

 

Now bruised with drought and flood

 

Oh Mother Earth

   We live unforgiven in your wrath

 

Typhoons and heat beyond record compare

    You dare not yield your fury on us

 

 

So much we have destroyed

   Yet so few reconcile

 

Oh Mother Earth

We pay the price for our carelessness
   plagued with garbage of our own

 

How may we challenge power

   To change our selfish ways

 

To make law against this shame

 

Oh Mother Earth

  How sorrowful I am

 

How disheartened I have become

  To see your beauty fade

    AMAZING, we have ruined earth and it's going to take a lot to fix her back up. it makes me sick when i see people litter, especially ciggarett(?) butts, uhg. i know you were talking about more than that in this, but thats the first thing i always think of. great write
