The Feet of the Savior

In this finite, infinite world

where our ending is our beginning,

and our beginning is the end

of life and the sinning,

Will we try to justify

the times that land

between what was and is now,

when before our Master we stand ?

Shall we destine ourselves

to a forever lived in Hell,

away from the beauty

of His eternal well ?

Or shall we accept His gift

and fall face down,

at the feet of the Savior

whos grace we are bound ?

Beautiful poem, powerful meaning. I think this is a great thing to write about, and you did it eloquently. Why would anyone want to trade what God offers us for this world (and the worse place where it leads)? The poem brings up a great question to the reader, one that all should consider.

I really like the first stanza. It is so clever in its juxtaposition, it works amazingly, and the rhythm is strong in that stanza. I think the rhythm got somewhat lost in the following stanzas, though. The poem is still strong, but the lines seemed to shorten and lost the rhythm set up by the first stanza.

That aside though, it is a great poem and I thank you for writing it. May God bring this and your other work to the eyes and minds of the readers who truly need it.

    At His Feet Face Down!

Oh, Sis, this is exquisitely written in absolute truth. It is so beautiful and brings a message far too many are not hearing; falling on deaf ears. So frustrating, yet continue we must. As always, your writing is gorgeous and such a pleasure to read.

    Much luv & hugs, SisBon
