Faith

In the book of James 'tis said
That faith without works is dead
Yet it is not works that gets us into heaven
In the book of John we see
Christ's strength and majesty
Yet our strength will not get us into heaven
In the book of acts 'tis preached
to follow everything Christ did teach
Yet church will not get us into heaven
There is no faith strong enough that by itself it lasts
There is no love in human minds enough to forgive the pasts
It is only through the enduring love of our Lord Jesus Christ
And a relationship with him personally when from the devil we heist
Everything
And then
When we know him personally
When he is our friend
And when we lay our troubles at his feet
Can we be assured of heaven
Love
Forgiveness
Our purpose is to love him
Our purpose is to serve him
Out of love of him
Not devotion to man
Or ideals
Or ourselves
But only to him
