Prayers Answered

I prayed for so many years,
years seemed to fly by without an answer
but, then you came.
My very wish had been fulfilled
the ultimate blessing given after such a long wait.
No more burying my head in my hands,
crying out to the Lord, for you are here now
and within my arms you will stay until the end of days.

this is not meant to be an extravagant piece. not even a great piece....it's just spoken from the heart. I don't plan on changing it either. I just had some thoughts to get out.
