Speckled nights paved the way
Through black as he walked
Wondering when the light may dazzle,
his pupils engorging all availability.
His mind a maze, seeking the center,
Black forest as clear as the prize.
Cities left behind for the final time,
Nature fronts him, a lonely vigil.
Branches claw out the moonlight,
even the stars struggle to find him
as he staggers for the lowest point.
A large rock face looks down at the end.
He throws down opposing forces of savagery
by bleeding out his heart, eyes and soul.
After all this, after standing near so far
the people see can't see him for his body,
So he see's the end of a long, short life.

I love the diction, The last line struck me so vividly, Amazing writer.. Such a mysterious figure was projected of the man, yet the struggle of haertache with him can be shown. With love.
