The Death Of The Repubic

I will never put my faith where it doesn’t belong
In religion, in government, in corporations
This country can do better than what we have in place
The weight now shifted to the next generations
They’re all in league to benefit themselves
But their interests don’t include the middle class man
Why would you expect anything more from people
Who get rich exploiting our labor and our land?

One man’s will is every other’s debt
Scared of losing it all but I’m willing to bet
Freedom isn’t free if we owe them the shirts off our back
You think it’s a choice but there’s only one track
Leading you to your spot as a common wage slave
Taxed into hell but you have to help pave
The way for the New World Order

“Religion helps to bring solace to our lives
Telling you who you can love and who you should hate
It spreads through society breeding indifference
That’s when they call up their friends in the State
‘One nation under God’ and ‘In God we trust’
Separation of church and state got lost in the mix
Creating laws that help our few but hurt your many
Distracting the masses with another bag of tricks
Consume, Consume, just don’t pay attention
To what we are all doing behind our veil
Buy new houses, buy more cars, anything you want
Stimulus is in action but you don’t deserve a bail
We took your money to save our banks
But it’s in your best interest we can guarantee
Letting them bankrupt would fix this crisis
And we can’t afford to lose that reciprocity”

Stealing our tax dollars for new amenities
