The Scientist of the Universe

You adorned the earth in verdancy
Crowning the sky with the sapphire blue tiara

Separating the light from the dark

You made the hopeful mornings

And the mysterious dark nights

The ravens do not sow or reap

Neither do they have storerooms or barns

Yet they are fed everyday by you

The lilies do not labour

Neither do they spin their clothes

Yet they are splendidly clothed by you

You moulded the world into a rare masterpiece

Carving a wonder out of nothingness

The sequences of the human genome have been decoded

But the handiwork of your creation

Makes us forget the science of reasoning

Oh my lord,You are truly the architect of life

The inventor of existence

The omnipotent, omniscient scientist of the universe...

This is a lovely tribute to the "Scientist of the Universe". I must admit that the first stanza is my favourite, and particularly the second line, it creates a very special image.

Unfortunately I will have to disqualify the poem from the contest seeing as the rules were not followed.

Best of luck in your other contests.

I really like the words you chose to use in the poem, but it kind of felt like you left it up short with that last stanza.
