He held her hand-
It was a slapping sight that made me stagger on black kitten heels of desperation and lewd interest, shivering in low cut insecurity and tight denim need.
Rivers boiled in my soul windows, while watching you watching her in the mirrored way that you had memorized my face just the other hour, week, month.
I swallowed the angry buzzing bees of rage and dismay that wanted to fly straight at you and sting you with the truth of my own stupidity.
But disbelief is a chain that dragged my intentions to the gutter where my aortic valve beat weakly near discarded cigarette wrappers and ex husbands.
He called her "Puppy"-
The oral ordeal shifted the knife wound near my spine, slipping in like perfumed pillow talk while the moon waltzes across the inky black of silvered moments.
The kisses you rained on her nose were lead covered NERF bats, making me whip-jerk like a marionette who's strings have snapped under pressure.
It was like a game, Red Light, Green Light- I stayed upright by sheer pride of the Irish freckles and the curls that you said made you a moth to my flame.
A crooked grin created a creak, a crack causing the band-aids on my heart to crinkle around the scar tissue so that I internally bled for an eternity.
He kissed the diamond on her finger-
A gasp, chilled by the Arctic arid-ness of my shivering slivered plump pump died in my strangled throat, roped by the indigestion of clams you gifted me last winter.
Strength gripped me by the hands of my amiga, while you passed my Super Bowel ring to the third string running interference on my dreams.
Her teary, breathless acceptance stole the last light out of my life; a Tsunami of darkness blacked out even the midnight depths of the nowhere where we stood.
Every emo-lyric stabbed out at me in melodious malice, and I finally understood the bleating of the mascaraed sheep who chanted, "No one, no one, no one will ever love me."
He said "I love you" into her hair-
then he looked at me.
