Limitless minds
being limited
fermented in stupidity.
Lessons learned
untaught and rewritten.
Infinite dreams
shattered
turned into nightmares.
Freespirits
locked up
and extinguished.
True freedom is
an illusion
we're all lost
in the confusion
forgotten the cost
of the lies
and the made up lives.
The ideals that you have
manufactured in a lab.
Humanity is displaced
because faith is misplaced
we should all be disgraced
because we've all made mistakes.
But its time to make changes
and free our minds from these cages
realize there is no god that can save us
to believe so is outrageous.
I don't claim to have the answers
just my opinion that
religion is a cancer
wars waged over faith
preaching love
practicing hate.
Persecuting non believers
like we have a sickness
Why?
because we're capable
of rational thought
religion is'nt faith
because your beliefs must be taught.

Very true.
"religion is a cancer
wars waged over faith
preaching love
practicing hate."
Wonderfully written! Really great piece here.
Thanks for your entry and good luck! -
I don't necessarily agree with the opinion of the piece, but I like the way in which it's written. I like the overall sentiment, that we have to stop fighting each other in the name of religion. Good luck in the contest.

-
