With hands buried
deep in his pockets,
he ran recklessly
through explosively rigged
barbed wire wrapped
ticks of the clock.
His artistically etched
terracotta façade
held securely in place
by the delicate thread
of his culture’s
well woven lies.
Like a warped
badge of honor
precariously pinned
to his soul,
he wore a chrome shield
of protection
against vulnerability.
Painstakingly etched
deeper than the
thin metal armor
were scribbled instructions
titled
“How to be a noble man.”
Yet, still he ran blind…
Wasting his life
chasing the meaning
of some obscure quotes
inscribed in miniature
by an eternity
of exploded moments.
Until his crumbling persona
dropped pebbles
of uncertainty
into the dynamite
of knowledge
Sparking his own
Catastrophic Detonation.
