The girl I could have been has warm hands
and a slow smile with a hiss in it.
But I did everything wrong from day one –
did what everyone else was doing
till the awkwardness became natural,
part of the way my hand moved.
I was supposed to be a black spark,
a sharp one, an arsonist.
I would have written blackmail letters.
I would have made jellyfish bracelets
and hung them on my arms
like giant rose quartz beads.

this is very intriguing, especially the way it seems to stop abruptly at the end. I liked it; made me think, and it had a crispness about it.

I like this. There's no pretense about it, and some of the lines just shine. "Black spark" is a very interesting image to me.
To be honest, I don't really have any critique, and i'm a pretty critical person. Nice work.
