Oh, thou minuscule, lowly human
you have me with your trickery-
employing reverse psychology
to prod me on to care;
To say that you're a little wretch
tugs my omnificent heartstrings,
reminds me of why I created man
to, some would say, make me whole;
But who am I kidding, I'm your idea,
every concept you have is a product of man-
is somebody's musing, hallucinatory
some would say, in a way...
That you've woven wisdom into my verse
on how to live life, more better than worse
would make me proud, if pride were allowed
and did not cause catastrophe;
So, I'm an idea, not born of logic,
but of faith, blind at that,
emotions deeply woven in
to deleterious effect;
I'm happy to be your desired ideal
you've set for yourself, and a part of the wisdom
that helps you live a decent life
without a living hell...
It's true, I'm used, and have been abused
by insincere proselytizers
cashing in on misery,
and it reflects quite badly back at me;
Well, let me wrap this ramble up,
omnipotent as I am-
Would I shed a tear for you,
a little wretch?
There's a new catch...
