Since I arrived at this place on Schitt’s Creek.
Supposedly on a grand fishing trip;
At least I have plenty of beer to sip.
I did pretty good ‘til I saw the moose;
That was the moment that all hell broke loose.
I brained Bullwinkle, snapped my ashen oar;
I swear it was self defense, nothing more.
I drift downstream, sipping on a warm brew
Glad I lost the paddle not the canoe.

I have to admit, posting the second Schitt's Creek adventure so soon was a bit of a cop out. But it worked. I kind of kept Pat McManus in my mind when i wrote these.

I am glad you liked it. I was hoping it would cheer you up. You seemed a tad down or frustrated. I hope it jumpstarts your recalcitrant muse.

Thank you, I needed a good snicker! Great graphic, great poem. Love the last line. (At least there was beer.)

I am glad you enjoyed the poem. Thank you for reading and commenting on my work. If I were up Schitt's Creek without a paddle, I would want beer, even warm beer.

You're so lucky over there with the wildlife. The largest thing we get in the rivers here, is someone's mother-in-law! I hope this wins it for you.

I am glad you liked the poem. We have moose all over the place. They are actually a road hazard. The other night there were 27 deer in the field near my house. I enjoy wildlife.

This was really cute, Mike! I love what you did with the Schitt Creek part
Great pic by the way. You definitely have a way with words that touch the funny bone at times.
Excellent piece even if Bullwinkle did get it across the head!
Bravo!

That's one of the wackiet's writes I've ever read. Thanks for the laugh, I needed one this morning. Very well written. Thanks for sharing. I'm sure the creator of Bullwinkle, is very proud of you. (lol)

I am glad that I could provide a laugh for you this morning. I needed to write something lighthearted. My last few have been sentimental or dark. I was losing my edge. Thanks for reading and commenting and the applause.
