Remember 9/11

IN EVERY PERSON`S HEART,
THERE IS A MEMORY OF
THAT FATEFUL DAY.

WHEN FLAMES FELL
FROM THE HEAVENS,
THOSE TOWERS JUST
FADED AWAY.

THE SKY DARK
WITH ANGER,
OUR HEARTS
HEAVY WITH YEARS.

NOTHING CAN
REPLACE THOSE LOST,
ONLY TIME WILL
DRY OUR TEARS.

thank you for such a rare viewing indeed , I think maybe this subject is still a bit too taboo for most folks to read about !. your kind comments are most welcome and yes` I also find that the poems I think are rubbish` are the poems that people seem to like ? ... and yet when I write a really good poem` ( in my eyes anyway ) nobody seems to wanna read it ! ... I find that most annoying ...lol.

Short but immensley powerful. YOu vividly captured both the raw emotion and the visual description of that horrid day. We all will never forget those sights. Haunting images that are imbedded within our minds and hearts. Awesome job.

I like it, Carl. So few words can say so much, and you did that here. Beautiful! It's hard to think back on that fateful day, because I became very angry and hurt. I wrote "Gently Dangerous," that a lot of people don't seem to understand either. Being human just seems to go unnoticed, ya think? Good write! Wish you the best!--Kel
