Goodnight child
The night is mild
So lay in your bed
And rest your head
I値l whisper to the stars while you池e sleeping
But I know sometimes that you are peeping
I値l wish you dreams of little fairies
And running down open prairies
In your dreams I can稚 protect you
So I値l ask the stars, because there痴 quite few
I値l tell them just what you want in your dreams
Like rainbows and unicorns and chocolate streams
So they値l shine down and watch over you
Then I can have a peaceful night too
I値l go to bed and dream the same
And meet you there in our perfect frame
Nothing can hurt you while you sleep
No more reasons for you to weep
Only peace awaits you now
Your nightmares, I will disallow
Lay down child and rest your head
In your super snugly comfy bed
The stars are bright on this night so mild
Sleep well little one, Goodnight child.

this is so sweet, we all want to protect little children and this shows this so well. i esp like the line about chocolate streams, I think that is the most original line in the poem, at least I've never heard it before. This would be well read out loud at an art bar where you can put emotion into the words as you speak.

This is such a beautiful poem we do all we can to protect our little ones, but then we have to turn them over to a higher power. I think you capture this perfectly. keep up the good work
