Imaginary World

Imaginary world
Forget
Everything that's happening
Go off on my own
Again
Can't forget the things
That once had been
Invisible people
And inner voices
These are my only friends now
I think I have
Real-world connection
But it just slips away
But who needs
Real-world connection
When your friends are in your head?
Words that you have spoken
Are better left unsaid
I waste my breath
Trying
And often get mislead
Words that I have spoken
Are better shot and dead
Why brave the pain
Of friendship
And human beings, too?
I would rather befriend
A made-up Mary Sue
Sure there's more heart
In it
And secrets, trust, and love
But I'd rather have
All frills and bows
When push comes to shove
But my dram world falls apart
Every once in a while
Remember things that have been
I'm fine until I think again

Author notes

I was almost tempted to be periods and commas and stuff in after I finished my poem, but it wouldn't be like the original then. I sort of like this style.
