She wanders through
deceptive red
crimson seeps;
mixed with tears
eventually, they no longer fall
outside the birds sing
songs of light and breath
watch and wait
for comfort to wrap itself
around you
red
hush
a secret
red
a darker comfort
relentless red
won't dissipate
self crowned king
in the corners of a mind
invade violently
then retreat
invade and finally conquer
falling to knees
breaking point
and the crimson seeps
