She stole my heart before I even knew it
With her packed lunch and a Killers t-shirt
It then crept into my mind what now I know
I have finally met the perfect girl

With I smile that can spread joy to all
and a personality to make you smile just as big
She can make anyone love her
And I'm glad she did it to me

It took many months and a lot of wishing
But she finally came calling my name
So overwhelmed I didn't know what to do
And sadly I let her slip away

In that sexy blue dress she left
She said she didn't feel the same
I was heart broken before I was in love
But something told me it wasn't over

The look she gave me and the smile in her eyes
I knew I just had to give it a little time
With much needed patience I finally got my chance
And we layed there in silence on the couch

It didn't come that easily though
I thought I had won but it had only started
This would be the beginning of the battle
And I vowed that I would not give up

It took many months of arguing
But finally she was mine
We grew so close together
Every hardship we overcame

Then out of the blue...
I lost her again
I don't know why
I don't think she even knew

But we could not stay away from eachother
Before long we were back together
Our love was blossoming
It was only the spring of our relationship

I did a stupid horrible thing
I broke her trust
But even worse

I deserved everything that I got
In all reality, I probably deserved more
I will always live with the pain of knowing
Knowing that I'm the one that hurt her

For some odd reason though
She still loved me
Some say that true love is fake
But because of her I know it's real

I promised to treat her right
I promised to never hurt her again
I promised to protect her
Protect her from people like me

My promises meant little
For she had little trust in me
However, our love was still strong
And with love you can overcome all things

Forever I will treat her as she ought to be treated
With the utmost respect and class
No more nights in backseats
Only nightgowns and sexy negliges

We will let our love continue to grow
As we ourselves grow closer together
