I want to feel you like summer on my skin,
I want to feel you like rain
slinking over me in shimmering waves.
I want to know what your lips taste like
and how they feel meshed with mine
I want to know what forever sounds like
said from mouths that understand
what it is to need.
You shine like a thousand suns inside of me,
pouring out when I open my eyes,
spinning in my pupils
like pinwheels.
When you speak to me
I'm alive like a fleet of tiny organisms
taking on the world.
I want to know you so badly it hurts.
I want to know when you are at your best
when nothing gets too hard,
I want to know you when you're smiling
and laughing to the sound of nothing.
When you tell me that I'm beautiful,
I want to know if your eyes smile
as much as mine.
You're screaming through me like a freight train,
making yourself noticeable,
chipping away at the walls in me
like a jack hammer.
And I want you to know me,
I want you to know me when I'm bold
when nothing stands in my way,
I want you to know me when I'm smiling
and laughing inside because of you.
When I tell you that you're amazing,
I want you to see reflected in me
what's flickering in you.
Yes, I want to feel you like summer
touching my skin,
I want to feel you like rain.
And when your lips taste like perfection
and so easily melt into mine,
we'll know our own forever
spread out over us so comfortably,
and somehow understand
that's all we need.
I want to feel you like rain
slinking over me in shimmering waves.

Author notes
This is about a man, a man who makes me feel like no other. He makes me shy, but bold, comfortable and completely adored.
I didn't know men like him existed.
I didn't know I could feel again
after all the darkness spreading through me.
He's such an amazing light.
Hence the title I suppose.
I know this isn't really good at all, but it took me so long to try and get it perfect. I just can't do anything more to it.
