My mind entranced in her beauty,
My heart forever loving her,
Our hopes and dreams place all in God and in one another,
She walked, I behind her watched,
Grabbing her silken hand comfortingly,
Spinning her to face me,
Her waterfall hair momentously ascended,
Turning myself to meet her half way,
I looked at her beauty, calmed,
Her eyes shocked but knowing,
My hand placed gently behind her head,
My lips gracefully meeting hers,
She was... without thought,
And when the second kiss came about she knew what had happened,
Placing her hand softly behind my neck she kissed me,
The rain still falling,
The air sweet,
Our love was enticingly innocent,
Our cares of the day had in a few slipping moments, faded
Melting away and we just left go,
But still kept hold of our promises,
No compromises,
Just each other,
Our kiss,
Embracing forever now in memory...
Author notes
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves.
~1 Corinthians 13:4-6
my favorite among the quotes, and though it did not specify where in the bible it originated, i took the liberty of doing so regardless...
a very accurate statement, and defines love in profound manner...
