Through the eyes of a Soldier

As devastation plagues our world,
Our lives crumbling to the ground,
The terror taints our boys and girls,
A melody of hope, is played and found,

Their sirens sing songs of destiny,
In a battle waged in time,
The war that's waged without a key,
Hope in our hearts we find,

The soldiers riding red and blue,
On trucks made of cold red steel,
The flames they seem to break on through,
Floods of relief we seem to feel,

For fear is not a valued trait,
In the battle that they wage,
Chasing flames that won't abate,
The devil's wrath uncaged,

So to our soldiers in the night,
I'll spare my thoughts for you,
Fighting death to do what's right,
We'll always cherish what you do,

Please spare a thought for Australia's emergency firefighters and ambulance officers in times of turmoil.... Because we'll always be able to rely on our boys.

Mike great to see a post from you been way too long my friend
A brilliant dedication showing respect for what they do so we can enjoy freedom. Great rhyme and flow as the worlds roll off my thoughts go out to these people who give so much and are there when we are in our greatest need. Apart from the fools who attack emergency workers who are doing their job but who no doubt are amongst the first to yell for their help we should cherish and appreciate them all.

    I miss your words.
