I look out the window,
just to sigh at the sight,
it was such a beautiful day,
but it's raining tonight.
I knew you had to go,
you told me from the start,
I told myself it didn't matter,
and now you've gone away with my heart.
The thunder breaks the silence,
as a tear escapes my eye,
and I curse myself inside,
cause I swore I wouldn't cry.
I've done a great job,
and I've been really strong,
putting on this show,
like I never cared all along.
But deep down I know,
I haven't fooled anyone at all,
now everyone's watching the storm,
and silently waiting for the fall.

There was a beuatiful storm here, but now has passed. I understand about hiding the pain trying to convince yourself that nothing could be wrong. However, there's no hiding from your heart when it feels emotion and then lets you know how strong your feelings were about that person in your life. Only time can find the way to heal such an emotional state. I want to thank you for your entry into the following contest: "Already On My Favorites."

PS: Your entry has been blessed by the three wise clappers, but don't spend the whole nine points in one place(lol)!

Well Done
A very well written piece. I love the emotion, the imagery and the flow.
The rhyme is really good. My favorite is the last verse. Sums it up perfectly. Thank you for entering my contest and best of luck

first things first. i like the background you have chosen to go with this poem. it compliments well with your chosen title. i like the way you portray the rain falling after a beautiful day as if saying good days must come to an end i like how you worked the title into the poem. it fits well with it all. Well done Gin. keep up the good work
David
