In times of catastrophe, I see your face,
you are my safeguard, my sacred place.
You pick me up when I start to fall,
always answer when you hear my call.
When I am fast asleep, I dream of you,
beautifully etched, innocent and true.
Fill me with love until my heart is full,
control my heart strings, I feel your pull.
You are deep in the corners of my mind,
my heart beating with yours, entwined.
You are everything that I ever looked for,
my feelings for you I can no longer ignore.
Without you I would be all on my own,
no place to go, or a place to call home.
My life falling apart, and I grow astray,
I never imagined I would feel this way.
Next to you I'm comfortable, have no fear,
I'll always need you, I need you right here.

That is a feeling I think many people strive for and never end up having it. No matter if this person is just a great friend or lover, they surely will always remain sacred in your life. I want to thank you for your entry into the following contest: "Already On My Favorites."
