lips parted, pressed against glass
as the bus shuts off it's gas.
The air is damp; droplets of dew,
leave little circles on the windows
with writers initials scraped, outlined.
Picking up her books, she pulls her hair back
letting brunette bounce across her chest,
resting on her shoulders, as the doors close.
Busy, with pushchairs and public shoppers,
talking tatters to strangers, not seeing loneliness
and perhaps, not giving much a care.
Then movement jolted sleepers to wakefulness,
as she pushed her glasses up onto her face and sighed
to nobody but herself, as this was the solitaire ride.
