Anne said no as she hid in an attic,
Not wanting to go on to live life so tragic.
Rosa said no as she sat on a bus,
Although she did know that she'd end up in cuffs.
Martin said no as he marched with the crowds,
His spirit did glow and his dream was so loud.
The heroes said no as they entered the towers,
Taking a blow from the ones who were cowards.
The soldiers said no to the violence and hate,
And so they did go just to fight for our fate.
Inspiring people help our nation grow,
And all just because of the one's who said no.
