The Poison that Spreads

She's like a black spider looming over my head
Quietly spinining her web of deceit
Oh, how I can feel the poison spread
Whispering lies to make you feel incomplete

She knows when I'm not there
Reminding you of how things used to be
Hoping that I am blind and unaware
But she's failed, because I can see

I wish she would just disappear
But her presence is like a dark cloud
She won't go away, her motives so very clear
This sadness I feel, does she feel proud?

Her poision slowly strangles my heart
She had her chance, I can't let her win
As she secretly tries to break us apart
No, I can't let her win

I'll do all that I can to keep her away
I love you too much to let you go
I will not let her get her way

Author notes

I know this poem sucks.

It's your typical story. There's this girl that I feel wants to get in between my boyfriend and I. She used to be his best friend. Now she's texting him around 1 AM when she thinks I'm not there. She says she just wants to be his friend again, but I can't let my guard down and let my niceness get the best of me and believe her. That could be disasterous mistake. Anyways, this poem is kind of about her. Didn't really know where I was going with this poem or how to end it so just make something up so I don't have to think about it anymore lol. It sounds imcomplete at the end, I know.

Please tell me what you think.
