learning all the time

dont try to make me into you
i cant be what you want me to
my independant mind and curiosity
will help me mold into what i am going to be
dont worry if mistakes i make
i am not made of glass i shall not break
i will be bad some days and some days good
dont make me do what you wish that YOU could
just guide me gently, safely on my way
and let me learn through life, and love and play

    A most excellent write, as the father of four daughters it strikes a resonant chord. I am somewhat sickened by the "little girl" pageants. Mothers living vicariously through their daughters. The way that some of these children behave and act shows that they are disconnected with what 99% of us would most likely consider normal. Or the father screaming at the coaches, or their child at the little league game.
