Spirit

If I

gave you a song,

will it play in your heart for me?

If I

kissed your Dreams...tonight

is it my face that you'll see?

If I

gave you my heart

beating long...and strong

will you promise to Love me

still;

even after things go wrong?

If I

just...

gave you 'Me'

will you promise...

to always be there,

even when I can not see?

If you are willing

and will have my hand,

I'll do my part as your woman...

if you are ready

to be my man.

I'm not perfect

in any way,

a lot of times I won't have money,

but I promise that I will stay.

I really don't know

what else to do,

but one thing I do know...

is how much my Soul sings

whenever I'm around You.

    This poem was magnificent. It held this gorgeous level of simplicity in some areas, but when you look into it properlly there's this deep sophistication. The use of words and repetition of 'if I' were also great. A superb write which I thoroughly enjoyed =D

    Beautiful write, Sis. Lots of passion expressed in this piece. I liked the last seven lines of the piece. It makes me think of how important it is in life for people to be loved unconditionally, when love is really powerful and true, nothing can drive it apart.
