How perfect did we look that night?
Side by side, our hands entwined.
My eyes on yours, your eyes on mine,
A sight of true serenity.
I felt their gaze, it mattered not,
The world could stare for I was already lost.
Preoccupied in the twist of your smile,
The scent which clung to you, I took in every breath
I savoured every piece of it,
This world we made of our own, our private isle
I could almost taste the peaceful air,
I breathed contentment, sighed your presence
How perfect did we look that night?
Side by side, our hands entwined.
My eyes on yours, your eyes on mine,
A sight of true serenity.
