Faraday

The Faraday Effect found it's mark,
Lodged between heritage
And the dead kings ghost...
Fey...
Fey was it's inception,
Crowned by deception,
Flown, gone,
It all went wrong.
Now you taste the ash,
That flavored every meal,
Blood and bone,
Sinew and skin,
You're lost evermore here,
Alone without kin,
Shine bright doomed mite,
Become the persistent...
Itch: Fey, fey,
Don't fly away,
Please sing with me awhile,
Cry me
A lullaby,
Entice me...
With tales of doomsday,
Sing loud empty voice,
Make the leap,
Dare a choice,
But woe and damnation,
Fey,
Die now and dream..
another day....

  • This read in my head like Jeff Buckleys reading of Ulalume... that beat .. the person below is right this is so reminiscent of Poe.. I know I have said that before, its well yeah amazing

  • There are very few Poets that can stand in a class with Poe. This piece stands in a class with the enticing darkness of Poe himself. Thank you so very much for sharing this and others.

  • This is cryptic and reads along like a fable...an ancient parable perhaps.

    Entice me...
    With tales of doomsday,
    Sing loud empty voice,
    Make the leap,
    Dare a choice,
    But woe and damnation,
    Fey,
    Die now and dream..
    another day....

These lines entice me to ponder on and on. Here in the thresh-hold of damnation...this seems utterly prophetic.

I will be reading this over and over.
