Wide-Regarded Sounds
Long time fast, half time past,
short to break the bone.
Tries to spike the rhyme with punch
not as lonely on your own.
Sex and drugs and smokes and beer,
disagree to disagree.
But I wish you were sitting here
doing nothing with me.
A rabbit, an ark, a child that's
dressed like a millionaire.
They can't seem to sit still 'cause
the heartbeat shakes the chair.
The rabbit's gift, euphoric lift,
the ark's was going down.
The child's fate is twelve-to-eight,
some farm just South of town.
Wood and string and shit that sings,
weigh Rock'n'Roll in pounds.
To the dungeon with the Kings
of wide-regarded sounds.
His bed's a couch, his girl's a grouch,
his boss is on the phone.
He kills his life for music, but
he thinks it's turned to stone.
Long time fast, half time past,
short to break the bone.
The Kings have spooned an exit fast,
at last reclaim the throne.
Sex and drugs and smokes and beer,
the night has just begun.
Wonders where to go from here
when everything's been done.

Hope Ole Winnie isn't treating you as crappy as usualy, haha
but yea, I can't comment further on this for a favorite portion, it's just all great, I just felt so connected to it. Just, Great Job, ok? haha

actually it took me close to 3 or 4 weeks to write the middle two verses... the first and last kinda snapped into place in less than 15 minutes after reading Bait. Without some sort of inspiration I don't think I ever woulda finished this one.

This was great. Really. You always say that you spend SO MUCH time making things that are mediocre.
This isn't mediocre
and you wrote it pretty fast.
And damn right, you gave me credit.
Actually, the whole first stanza reminded me of what was going through my head in Bait.
