I remember when I started school
The laurel tree - the swimming pool
The winter frosts and friends I made
The next door neighbours marmalade
Summer days with skies so blue
But why don't I remember you?

I don't remember starting school
the laurel tree or the swimming pool
the winter frosts nor the friends I made
the next door neighbors marmalade
but I thought I would inform you
it was because I was busy with lil boy blue
I loved this poem and especially that surprise ending... I always love surprise endings and this one certainly has that. ( especially since we were
just discussing memory just a few minutes ago... whew I still remember... lol)
Hugs,
Suzi

Dear Hugh
Thanks for your kind comment - you know how it is, remembering things from long ago but not what you had for breakfast yesterday - not that I'm suggesting your memory's going :-)
Love & Hugs XXX

Dear Wheezy,
Though I don't participate in any way
on contest poems, I felt I had to say
how great it is to see you back on stage.
I've missed you for what seems to be an age.
So, let me just say: "Welcome back, dear fave
and add applause to what the others gave."
Good luck in this contest, love and hugs, XXX Hugh.
