I'm walking on the eggshells
That you've laid out on the ground
You yell and hurl your words at me
I hardly make a sound
I'm mad you've hurt my chances
On the things I wanted most
And the girl that youare seeing now
Is merely just a ghost
The sky is crushing at my heart
It's entirely too close
You've moved so far away from me
And I'm not sure what I chose
I'm killing all the words you've said
That have poisoned my own ears
And I'm getting really insecure
I'm running out of tears
You crush my spirits, put me down
You call yourself my friend
I'm not so sure of that now
I feel it's coming to an end
I'm walking on the eggshells
That you've laid out on the ground
You yell and hurl your words at me
I hardly make a sound

The only flaw I could find is that you forgot to put a space between 'you' and 'are' in line #7. Great write, very emotional and raw in a ladylike way. Thank you for entering my contest.

Thank you.

Powerful, powerful write.
I like the imagery in this and how you turned the commonly used phrase into a poisoned original.
Adore it!
