Candlelight Architect

He was said to have a vision,
so vivid and lucid,
He had one mission,
to reach a picture placid.

Glued eyes on the canvas,
not a move made,
He glared at his paint,alas!
a mistake had been made.

The light was too bright,
the lamp post too slim,
he dimmed out the light,
and the corners of its limb.

He looked once more,
saw something missing,
unlike never before,
this wasn't worth finishing.

Perhaps the moon,
looked too white,
but what should he do ?
discolor it's might ?

No,that wouldn't do,
maybe he should add,
another color or two,
it wouldn't be so bad.

He sat upon his artistic mind,
and gave it quite a thought,
It took him quite some time,
He then realised his fault.

His painting ,valued and treasured
would be incomplete
If any mishaps ,reassured
were to prove concrete

This famous chap, young & decent
knew what his mistake was,
no shadows were present,
the painting proved a loss.

He recovered his treasure,
and viewed it from a distance,
It was such a pleasure,
to view something so magnificent.
