Coco, he was a lazy cat
he was old,fluffy and cute
he was striped brown and black
a bit like puss in boots
Coco, he had dark brown eyes
and he did play with the dogs
he always twitched his ears
and gave big comfy hugs
Coco, the curious one
he's so clever and smilie
he just sits in the sun
and rubs softly aganinst me
Coco, I missed him at school
I was only four
I was not popular or cool
and cutie coco i did adore
Coco, he wasn't even my cat
his owner was a friend of my mums
but everyday i saw coco
coco sat waiting for me to come
Coco, he's now sadly dead
and nobody barely knows
but let his story go on
Coco, and his yawny nose

what a fine tribute to your beloved Coco.

Beautiful.
Oh, same contest, I entered. Nice poem. I loved it. It was open, and expressive. Coco seemed like a cool cat. There were moments I forgot he was a cat and I thought he was a dog. But good poem.

I like the yawny nose! Line 6 could be simplified: "And he played with the dogs". Keep on writing!
