Eagle

I saw an eagle drift down gently
lighting on my high-line pole,
while it's claws dug deep

at weathered wood. It's wings
spread out like a safe haven
for a lost soul, and I couldn't
think anymore about this

prison.  I wonder if his wings
span wide enough to wrap
around me, fly me away from here.
