Goodbye little bird

Existence, you were one of our mimes
Joyous, so many mornings woken by song
Exasperated, I told you to shut-up many times
Regret, I never realized, that I was wrong

Astonished, this morning there was eerie quiet
Extinguished, music un-sounding, one so small
Bewildered, yellow feathers aglow like velvet
Pardoning, I never thought of you as a soul

Lifeless, on the bottom of your cage
Greeting, when you crashed down in my house
Presaged, I made sure you had forage
Uninvited, yet you chose us for your home

Pleasure, delight from you cockiness
Music, never outselling your hymn
Burial, for you became airless
Tomorrow, with my sons, feeling grim

Go little bird, find the eagle in you flight
I am sorry; for I caged you for so long
Fly; let your spirit glow alight and bright
Re-establish, your melody heard yearlong

Symphony, your calling for sweet fruit
Longingly, we miss you already, you stupid bird
Sing, your song in brilliantness to outshoot
Rest in peace little one, your melody soars uncaptured

Oh, a sad little story you paint here of the caged bird you did not hold so dear. Maybe exuberated should be exasperated? Exuberant means happy.

    • Hi ok get what you mean. THanks for the tip, I changed it Thanks, BTW, I did like the bidry, miss him now still, he did make a lot of noise haha

    • Hi, I did mean Exuberated, refering to the bird.. he was always happy and had songs in abundance...

      Thanks for the comment,

      Lilian

This is beautiful, for we are more precious than the sparrows so of course would be this bird you described so bright and cheery, I would miss it's song too. Blessings.
