Dangerous

His breath crawled across her skin

like a spider,
                  deadly,
                              dangerous.

She knew he was coming for her, as fear caught her-

cold lumps of gasps-trapped in her throat.

Oh, and his eyes, his eyes were biting into her,

as she faded away in a breath of silent hysteria,

like smoke from his gun barrel.

Author notes

I know this one isn't the greatest, but I wrote it for a class I was taking. I have been in the process of editing it. It is about a personal experience I have had with a stalker I had about 10 years ago, even though I never did get shot by him. He did pull a gun on me in a bar though. He had just gotten released from prison (was in there for murdering someone in a bar). Yes, he was a little wacked in the head, but he is back in prison again so all is well right now.

Please tell me what you think

I plan to revise this poem: please leave constructive criticism!

This is an interesting one, there are some deranged people out there, I am glad you are safe from him now. Best to you
