Sorry but I had to borrow your truck
to go look for my poem
down that road again I saw junction signs
and dead end roads where the gravel
pecked away at my undercarriage
past the washed out gullies
and rotten bridge, I stopped to think- seven miles
felt like seven hours of searching before I found out
my poem was in me all the while.

I really enjoyed the visions that popped in my head while reading this. Nicely done. I love your take on the prompt.

lol to find a lost poem. I think we all have those moments when we search for things we can't find yet all along it is with us. Thanks for the smile. I love this piece.
This reminded me of the story of 'The Alchemist'

Thanks so much for the great comment on this. I appreciate it. Yeah, it's like someone looking for his glasses and realizing that he had them on the whole time (I have actually done that too). Thanks again for the great comment. I'm glad it made you smile.
