I sometimes wonder if Bear is really a dog or is he my older brother in disguise?
That dog knows when my husband or I are not having a good day.
In some ways he is more kid than a real kid is.
He has this funny little sound he makes when he plays his favorite game.
That game is to lay on the sofa and softly grumble until you look at him.
When he sees you looking he turns his head so you will.
Then he gets a little louder and repeats the trick.
He is so funny that you can't help but laugh at him.
He will come to the edge of the bed and rest his head on my arm.
Sometimes he makes a low sound and then either nudges you or he licks your arm.
However he will throw me over for food from his master.
He and my little dog Ringo are my alarm clocks.
They will make noise and Ringo will sit on my chest to stare into my eyes until I get up.
The next thing they do is line up for treats, Bear teases me to play before he eats his treats.
Ringo won't let him get his treat but our older dog lets Bear have hers.
However he is always polite in his asking.
He will ask to get on my bed and makes sure I roll to the side so he can get on it.
It is another story when he sleeps as he snores and hogs the cover.
I can usually get him to give me my pillow back.
Author notes
Bear was the dog we got after my beloved Trooper died of cancer, and Ringo joined a year later. Bear is very funny but he really does have a special k ind of sense.

nicely written by giving him human qualities but still we know he was a dog.
dogs can be so funny we can go on forever with memories of a pet.you found a way to talk about two dogs still mentioning bear
