When I walked with you
the song of the full moon
was held captive in your kohl.
We put petals of silence
on the mist
and watched our breaths dance
to its quiet music.
The night rushed
to 'dust and fold'
her starlit sky...
a half awake dawn
shovelled away the dark.
We filled the twilight
with
half a song from your harp ,
and
half a poem from my flute;
and
forever...
poured itself
into love's half a moment.

this is lovely. i love how you played with the idea of halves and wholeness here. "shovelled away the dark" is such a wonderful line. really loved the heart-music of this piece.

Hi
Please complete the poem within next 12 hours hours - will have to remove from contest - as it has blocked the prompt for others and that hasn't been fair.
