Shallow Bed.

Missing image
In your shallow bed
unable to reach the sky
restricted from birth

perfectly formed bonsai tree
living for four hundred years

Bonsai could be defined as sculpted beauty... it takes a master to tend a truly beautiful bonsai. An art form all its own. You hav honored it well here... Thank you for entering, Susan

Like Haiku, I don't know what a 'Tanka' is. This is really a fascinating piece and wonderful tribute to the bonsai, which I have loved since a child. Very expressive and beautiful background and jpg. One day I shall have time to read more on your site and maybe learn how to do this style of work myself.
