Contract Sealed ~ haibum
©copyright 2005 Bonita M Quesinberry
I enter through an ornate portal into a vast chamber filled with lightning and smoke, in its midst a long table of precious woods adorned with handcarved figures overlaid in gold. The man sitting in a throne-like chair at its head is more overwhelming than this room. In trembling humility, I approach my Father, eager to sign our agreed contract. He greets me with a voice of roaring waterfalls and thunders yet somehow soothing me, making it easy to write Immanuel on the designated line. I watch him sign, then validate it with his seal of authority. I accept Father's seal as mine and press it thereto, knowing others will sign it in my blood and take up our seal as theirs.
Christ's precious blood flows
quills dip then take up God's seal
forfeit flesh desires

Hoodwinked!
An interesting piece, thought provoking no matter your opinion on Christ and religion.
I'm sorry for the late hoodwink, life has had me all caught up!
Glad to be here to comment, better late than never!

Well done.
You know I have had dreams about being in heaven and I am glad that Jesus died for us. I do not believe in condemning any but rather they know his love too.

Very interesting way you brought out the idea of the seal signed with blood.
Thanks for entering this one, I found it very interesting, such a diff. take on the passion of Christ. -

Wow this is a very odd piece of poetry.
Never thought of God in this sence.'
Splendid imagery and flow.
Be blessed in all you do.

Thank you, dear Tony! In response to "never thought of God in this sense," remember: "on earth, as it is in heaven" -- one is solid, the other spiritual.

Much luv & hugs, SisBon
