I was lost and searching
Longing for a friend;
Crushed by pain and loneliness
Hoping for the end.
Calling into darkness
Someone hold me back;
From the edge I’m walking toward
Before I jump from the well-worn track.
But then you came and found me
You saved me from my fate;
You cast a little love
Into a heart grown numb from hate.
You held me safely in your arms
And although things weren’t okay;
You gave me what I needed
To survive another day.
You became my everything
My life, my joy, my all;
My sun, my moon, my stars
My spring, summer, fall.
You saved me once
You save me yet;
And what you’ve done
I wont forget.
I’ll love you for eternity
With a love that’s true;
Because I feel so warm and blessed
Just being loved by you.
I never will deserve you
And so I’ll always try;
To be the girl who warms your heart
And brings a happy tear to eye.
I’ll be yours forever
To you my heart is bound;
I’ll be your one and only
By your side I’ll e’er be found.
