For Sale: A Cryptographer’s Nonce, used only once, pseudo-randomly

The vaulting shew in the bone yard,
a tide of purple haze,
this phantasmagoria of sounds.
A principia most languorous
girdled round some vagabond
vocabulary
twisted out of time
and rhymed in symmetry
as a cryptographic nonce.
Taken as you will
this mumbljumbling,
is some phrase-bereft paladin,
selfless in pursuit of troubled maxims
pretending at words and lines
of doubled meaning,
all in mimicry,
crying out senseless
in their scribal veins.

Author notes

1. Shew: archaic British variant of 'show', pronounced 'sho'.
2. A 'nonce word' is a word used only "for the nonce"—to meet a need that is not expected to recur. In security engineering, a nonce stands for a ‘number used once’, often a pseudo-random number issued in an authentication protocol.
3. "mumbljumbling" is a nonce of mumble, and jumble, with a little mumbo/jumbo thrown in, ending in'ing', and thus a gerund or a present participle. Which makes it a 'gerticiple'.

I love it. Reminds me of a man telling another to go to buggery and doing it so skillfully and obtusely that the second man asked directions.

      Bob,
Your comment is priceless!!!! Much better than the poem.
I can be nothing if not obtuse! Just so much mumbljumbling by which to have some fun.

Directions? Turn left at the next star and go straight on to sunrise.
