A new song is sung in the wind ...bringing a smile to all we meet.

Though it reminds me of times since then.
Look closely and you will see...
riding the waves... your still here with me.
As I sit under this salty shade...
sipping my lemonade ...
watching the seagulls parade ...
Passing on their way...
perhaps to the ancient colonnades
in Ephesus.
While stretched out here , my hammock high above the floor
just watching them soar - I'm left here in the south beaches,
sand pipers jump and skip the waves along the shore ...
while the fiddler crabs run side ways avoiding the beaks.
Pelicans, twilight - each head bowed under wing
Each face hidden -as though they were saying grace.
Signifying the night is falling.
Not one lass swayed as they tipped a wing ... no sex on this beach.
you can hear them sing in a melodic hum ...having an island rum.
All along our golden shores you just leave me asking for more...

I like this poem, it's very peaceful and lovely. (honestly I didn't catch the alcohol reference, but it made me chuckle all the same)
