Is it Serious?

My disease seems to be passed on
Down to the next teenage lover
Like a plague that spreads rapidly
Killing our young hearts
And pushing our youth out the door
So we mature and grow up too fast.

All you heavy heart hold your heads up
It's time to make the plans to live freely
Not to sit on the door step crying
Over what could have been
Or what should have been

Look in the corners of your room
Your stacking up all the boxes of emotion.
This is serious
My Diagnoses is Teenage Heart Break
There is no cure
except to get over it and to start again
And I'm the one who has found this cure.

Now take your broken heart
All the memories that broke your heart
Toss them away in a trash can
Light it on fire
And watch the once fire like passions burn
and from the ashes a new love begins.

This is the Teenage Heart Break
A deadly disease to kill you
if you can't recover from the sudden hit of pain.

Author notes

I wrote this because recently I went through a teenage heart break and it's a disease passed down from one heart broken teen to another.

  • great job this is awesome

this rocks great job awesome spectacular

  • v.v guess you could call it that. But it shouldn't lead to the feeling of a disease. It is just something that happens to teenagers of any era. I like this poem it was well written Thank you for sharing.
