Freedom

You see others walking, talking, and laughing,
wishing to once live carefree.
Freedom fades as the sun every night,
holding onto your only hope left.

Freedom slips away a little at a time.

You try so hard to help,
but its fruitless.
Working your hands to the bone,
back breaking stress lay upon you.

Feelings of escape have vanished,
hopelessness has set in.

Freedom is a thing of the past.

I think you have captured the moment. The truth sponken here will only be proven and substantiated in the months. The United States, on it present course, it people, and values, may soon be a footnote in someone else's history book. History is written by the victors... "Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, How was the play?" Howard
